What We Do

Reversing the Pipeline is a professional development organization focused on dismantling the school-to-prison pipeline by strengthening educator practice in discipline, social-emotional learning (SEL), and academic instruction. The organization uniquely combines the lived experiences of returning citizens with the expertise of former educators and licensed clinicians to support schools in creating inclusive learning environments where students remain engaged in instruction and on track for academic success, by utilizing Restorative Practices and Social Emotional Learning.

Our Founder

Robert Redfearn

Reverser Robert Redfearn is a restorative justice practitioner, facilitator, and peacekeeping professional with over 20 years of experience spanning correctional institutions, community-based justice initiatives, family systems, and advocacy. Grounded in his lived experience as a returning citizen, Reverser Redfearn brings a deeply authentic, healing-centered approach to his work—bridging accountability, transformation, and community restoration.

Reverser Redfearn is a trained Restorative Justice Facilitator who has led restorative circles, conferences, and professional development trainings for youth, adults, educators, and community stakeholders. His work emphasizes conflict resolution, harm repair, reintegration, and trauma-informed practices as alternatives to punitive systems. He is widely respected for his ability to create safe, inclusive spaces that foster dialogue, empathy, and personal responsibility.

In correctional and reentry settings, Reverser Redfearn has facilitated hundreds of peace ciphers and mentoring sessions with incarcerated individuals and returning citizens. His work supports emotional wellness, accountability, and successful reintegration by addressing trauma, identity, and community connection. He is especially committed to dismantling barriers faced by formerly incarcerated individuals and advocating for equitable, restorative pathways to healing and opportunity.

Reverser Redfearn also integrates physical wellness as a core component of holistic healing. As a certified personal trainer and nutrition coach, he has designed wellness programs that connect physical health to emotional regulation, self-efficacy, and resilience—particularly for individuals and communities impacted by systemic inequities and chronic stress.

In addition to his restorative justice and wellness work, Reverser Redfearn has served as a blended family-building trainer and fatherhood advocate, supporting parents and caregivers through relationship-centered coaching and communication-focused workshops. His family systems approach strengthens emotional literacy, empathy, and stability within households and communities.

Across all settings, Reverser Redfearn is recognized for his culturally responsive leadership, powerful facilitation style, and unwavering commitment to healing, accountability, and collective well-being. His work reflects a belief that transformation is possible when individuals are supported, heard, and empowered to repair harm and reclaim purpose. In his spare time he enjoys traveling, spending time with his wife &  four children, as well as reading, working out and cooking.
